Overview
The Honolulu Marathon, which started in 1973, was started with the idea that it is better to run a full marathon slowly over long distances for the rehabilitation and prevention of heart disease, so to speak, it can be said to be the originator of the “healthy citizen marathon”.
It’s a tournament.Held at one of the world’s leading resorts, the Honolulu Marathon starts at Ala Moana Boulevard and runs once on a scenic seaside course that ends at Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head, and Kapiolani Park, which everyone knows. It is listed in the longing competition that I want to try.
At the beginning of the tournament, there were about 100 participants, but now it is a tournament where more than 30,000 participants gather every year.
The attractions of Hawaii are the white beaches and the blue sea, but the various beaches in Hawaii surrounded by the sea have their own unique expressions, so you can enjoy them in various ways.
Cool down the body that lit up in the marathon.

Course
The Honolulu Marathon is known for its scenic course that winds its way through Honolulu, along the coast, and around Diamond Head. Here’s a breakdown of the course:
It starts on Ala Moana Boulevard, which translates to “path by the ocean” in Hawaiian, and that pretty much sums up the entire course .
Runners will pass by the Iolani Palace, the state capitol, and then through Waikiki, the tourist center of Honolulu.
After Waikiki, the course heads towards Diamond Head, offering some stunning views of the iconic crater. There’s a climb up and around the crater, which is the most challenging part of the course.
From Diamond Head, the course continues through Kahala and out to Hawaii Kai. The scenery here is a bit more residential, but still beautiful.
Finally, the course makes its way back to Ala Moana Boulevard, passing by the Ala Moana Center, a huge outdoor mall, before finishing at Aloha Tower Marketplace.
The Honolulu Marathon is known for being a fast course, with many runners achieving personal bests. But it’s also a very scenic course, so runners can enjoy the beautiful views of Oahu as they run.
